The Zoesana Method™

A 6-Month Coaching Program for Women Lawyers

The Zoesana Method is the coaching program I built for women lawyers who are done living in catch-up mode.

You know the pattern: run on empty until you hit rock bottom, recover just enough to get back in the game, then do it all again the next time trial season hits. It’s not a lack of discipline — it’s a depletion cycle, and it’s been running the show for years. Through a structured, lawyer-specific framework grounded in my own research, you’ll break that cycle for good: trade the guilt and the white-knuckling for a sustainable way of carrying the pressure, get back the time and presence you, your practice, and your family have been missing, and build a plan for your sanity that doesn’t ask you to drop the ball at work to get it.

I coined the method ‘Zoesana’ from two roots — the Greek zoe, meaning vital, embodied life, and the Latin sana, meaning whole and healthy. Together, it means ‘wholly alive.’ I wanted a name for my coaching method that was actually the promise, not just adjacent to it — because that’s the whole arc of this work: moving from burnout back to being fully, wholly alive.

You will receive a customized coaching experience rooted in the five steps of the Zoesana Method.  We will take an honest look at where you are (both personally & professionally), dig into what has been keeping you stuck, and build something realistic that actually fits your life as a lawyer.

The goal is simple — to finally feel energized, present, and at peace. This plan is designed to help you:

  • Practice law in a way that is realistic and sustainable, without sacrificing the impact of your work
  • Show up fully present for the people who matter most (whether kids, family or partner)
  • Lead with clarity, confidence, and renewed purpose.
  • Live a life rich with the kind of joy and abundance that made you say yes to this profession in the first place.

The Zoesana Method Coaching Program is for you if you’re a…

Overwhelmed Woman Lawyer

You’re an owner,  partner, or senior associate.  On the outside, you look like you have it all together, but on the inside, you feel depleted, stressed, and overworked..   “This” isn’t what you signed up for when you went to law school.

Stuck in the Cycle

You know something has to change, but the pressure never lets up long enough for you to see what it is. You don’t need another productivity hack or a long weekend away — you need to understand the actual pattern that keeps pulling you back under, so you can finally get out of it.

Ready to Build a Sustainable Life Now

Something’s gotta give.  You know in your bones, that if things at work continue going the way they are, something within you will break.  You have officially reached the point that you are no longer willing to sacrifice your health for work.

What Makes the Zoesana Coaching Program Different From the Rest?

Coaching is NOT Counseling

This is a coaching program.  The main difference between coaching and counselling is timeframe and purpose: coaching is future-focused, focuses on growth, behavior change, setting and reaching goals, taking action and accountability.   Counselling is past-focused, helping you emotionally process and heal from difficult experiences. This coaching program names what’s driving your burnout and builds a plan to change your relationship to the pressure. You’ll leave our sessions with what to do differently versus just something to talk about.

Burnout Coaching Designed For Women Lawyers

This coaching program was built for law, not adapted for it.  If you are considering coaching, don’t make the mistake of signing up for a generic burnout coaching program with a cookie cutter wellness formula that is unrelatable to your experience.  This program is developed by a woman lawyer for women lawyers.  In fact, every step of this program was created by real conversations and research.

Holistic & Tangible Solutions

Most coaching programs pick a lane — either the tangible fixes (boundaries, systems, workload) or the softer inner work (mindset, identity, self-worth). This program works both at once, taking a holistic approach to mental, emotional, and physical health. You don’t get a plan that fixes your calendar but ignores why you’re depleted, or a mindset shift with no practical structure to hold it up.

THE ZOESANA METHOD

A 5-Step Process to Break the Cycle of Stress - Without Dropping the Ball at Work

You also don’t want your career to keep costing you your health, your relationships, your peace of mind – or your ability to actually enjoy the life you’ve worked so hard to build.

The Zoesana Method combines realistic, lawyer-specific coaching strategies with a holistic approach to well-being to help overwhelmed women lawyers break the cycle of stress and create sustainable change.

This isn’t generic advice to “find balance” or add more self-care to an already impossible to-do list.

Together, we’ll identify how stress is showing up in your life, uncover what’s driving it, change the patterns that aren’t serving you, create realistic ways of working and living differently, and build a plan to keep you from falling right back into the same cycle.

So you can feel focused and in control at work - and actually present when you're home.

— How it works?

5-Step Process

It all starts with a conversation.

You don’t need another self-care tip — you need a plan built around the pressure you’re actually under.

Understand how pressure is affecting you - and where you most urgently need change.
SEE YOUR STRESS CLEARLY

Before we change anything, we need to understand your version of the cycle. You'll complete the Energy Leadership Index® (ELI) Assessment and map your well-being across nine dimensions of holistic health, building a clear picture of what's supporting you, what's depleting you, and where change is most urgent — because you can't intentionally change a pattern you haven't learned to recognize.

You'll gain clarity on:

  • How you tend to show up when the pressure is on
  • Where stress is affecting your physical, mental, emotional, and everyday well-being
  • The coping patterns you've developed to get through demanding days
  • Where change is most urgent — and what thriving would actually look like for you
  • 1
Understand how pressure is affecting you - and where you most urgently need change.
Go beneath the symptoms to understand WHY you keep getting pulled back into the same cycle.
    UNCOVER WHAT'S DRIVING YOUR STRESS

Step 1 shows WHAT is happening; Step 2 asks WHY.

We'll dig into the beliefs, fears, and lawyer-specific pressures underneath your stress — perfectionism, imposter syndrome, professional guilt, the expectation that you should be able to do it all — because sustainable change starts with understanding what a pattern has been meeting, not just stopping it.

    You'll uncover:

    • What's driving the coping patterns we identified in Step 1
    • The beliefs and expectations keeping you stuck in survival mode
    • How legal culture and the pressure to "do it all" have shaped the way you treat yourself
    • How to begin separating who you are from what you accomplish as a lawyer
    2
Go beneath the symptoms to understand WHY you keep getting pulled back into the same cycle.
Replace survival-mode coping with realistic strategies that actually work in a lawyer's life.
BUILD A HEALTHIER WAY TO HANDLE THE PRESSURE

Insight alone won't help at 7:30 p.m., when you're exhausted and tomorrow's workload is already running through your head. Step 3 replaces coping strategies that offer short-term relief with realistic, lawyer-specific strategies for decompressing and regulating stress — built for your actual caseload, not a wellness routine for someone with a 9-to-5.

    You'll build:

    • Healthier strategies that restore you instead of simply numbing or helping you escape
    • A personalized stress-management toolkit you can use in real time, not just in theory
    • Realistic habits that support your energy without becoming another impossible standard to meet
    • A way to recover more fully instead of simply recovering enough to go again
    3
Replace survival-mode coping with realistic strategies that actually work in a lawyer's life.
Create boundaries, systems, and support so your career stops spilling into everything else.
CHANGE THE WAY YOU WORK & LIVE

Every stress-management technique in the world won't help if the way you're working keeps recreating the same pressure. Step 4 looks at your boundaries, workload, communication, and support systems so you can protect your personal life without feeling like you're dropping the ball professionally.

    You'll create:

    • Boundaries around your time and availability that you can actually keep
    • A plan for what you can delegate, simplify, stop doing, or ask for help
    • Stronger professional and personal support systems so everything doesn't rest on you
    • A definition of success that includes your career and your health, relationships, and life outside of law
    4
Create boundaries, systems, and support so your career stops spilling into everything else.
Know how to catch old patterns early, course-correct, and stay present - even when work gets demanding again.
    BREAK THE CYCLE FOR GOOD

The real test isn't staying calm when work is calm — it's what happens the next time it isn't. Step 5 identifies your early warning signs and builds your Zoesana Sustainability Plan: a personalized roadmap for recognizing when you're slipping into survival mode and course-correcting before the stress takes over.

    You'll leave knowing how to:

    • Recognize your early warning signs before stress becomes overwhelm
    • Course-correct when old patterns start creeping back in
    • Protect the habits, boundaries, relationships, and support that keep you well
    • Keep building a sustainable way to feel focused, in control, and present in your life again
